Patruni Chidananda Sastry is a multifaceted individual whose unique blend of talents encompasses classical dance, entrepreneurship, and advocacy. From an early age of 7, Patruni immersed himself in the world of dance, ultimately crafting his distinctive style known as "Expressionism," a powerful medium for societal storytelling and awareness.

Dance as Social Commentary:  Patruni's dedication to dance extends beyond performance stages; he actively engages with organizations such as Mobbera Foundation, Mental Health Organization, and Human Library, using his artistry to advocate for social causes. His contributions to numerous festivals and events, including the Golden Beach Festival and Kalpashree Dance Festival, attest to his commitment to artistic expression as a vehicle for social change.

Innovator and Visualizer: Beyond the realm of dance, Patruni leverages his creativity and analytical skills as an Analyst in the Tech Industry. He brings a fresh perspective to business meetings and boardrooms, seamlessly blending traditional artistry with contemporary business acumen. Through his innovative approaches to data visualization and storytelling, he challenges the conventional boundaries of both dance and business.

Versatility and Mastery: Patruni's journey in dance spans various classical forms, including Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and Kuchipudi, under the tutelage of esteemed gurus. His pursuit of avant-garde expression led him to delve into Butoh, a Japanese art form, under the guidance of renowned mentors. This interdisciplinary approach reflects in his performances, which seamlessly integrate elements of drag, theater, and performance art.

Trailblazer and Advocate: As a pioneer in the Indian drag community, Patruni, under the persona "Suffocated Art Specimen (S.A.S)," has redefined the boundaries of drag performance. His appearances in prestigious venues and events, alongside his role as a co-founder of Dragvanti, signify his dedication to fostering inclusivity and representation within the drag scene.


Author and Advocate: Patruni's groundbreaking work extends to literature, with the publication of his autobiography, "Life is Drag: SAS it Up." His advocacy efforts have garnered international recognition, earning him a nomination for the IVLP by the US Consulate, a testament to his trailblazing role as an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
